• How do you install a detent kit?

  Please refer to ESR-015.

• What does a detent Kit do?

  A detent kit converts the valve to stay in the position the operator leaves the spool/handle.

• Do Delavan Monoblock valves have load checks ?

  Yes. All MBV series valves have a load check per spool.

• What valve should I use for a log splitter?

  Typically, a KOV30-NPT is used for a log splitter.

• Can Delavan Monoblock valves be used/converted to Closed Center?

  Yes. The MBV-CCPL-PLUG CLOSED CENTER is required to convert. Please see ESR-025 for installation instructions.

• What does closed center mean?

  When you are not using the valve handles, the oil entering the left side of the valve from the pump will dead stop internally and not return to tank.

• I put the power beyond sleeve in my valve - which hole should I use?

  You need to use both Return Lines. The one coming out of the sleeve goes downstream to the next valve body hooked into the inlet. The original return to tank outlet still goes back to tank.

• Do I need to use the Power Beyond sleeve?

  Yes. The sleeve is required or the back pressure can crack the casting.

• Can Delavan Monoblock valves be used/converted to power beyond?

  Yes. The MBV-PBPL ADAPTER BEYOND POWER, 3/4″ NPT is required to convert. Please see ESR-016 for installation instructions.

• What does power beyond mean?

  If you want to plumb another valve downstream of the first valve, you want a power beyond configuration.
